No more zoom calls. Not feeling any pressure to leave a legacy and be remembered. Finally being part of a historic event. There are SO MANY advantages of facing extinction.
As an ode to silver linings, we made a piece to celebrate climate change ending it all.
The Advantages of Facing Extinction is a participatory art piece by Fine Acts, inspired by the Guerrilla Girls, and made in collaboration with TED. It is currently being exhibited at TED 2022 in Vancouver.
As this is a living piece, we are looking for contributions! Add why you’re excited about facing extinction below. Your contribution could be added to future iterations of the main work online and offline, including a series of installations around the world during COP27.
This work, while a playful insight into the human experience, is a call to action. We believe that where there is fun, there is hope. And where there is hope, there is future.
But this future requires action. We can change climate change – if we act now, and together:
See a myriad of ways to take action on climate change today.
